standing outside on this balmy summer night we caught a glimpse of a beautiful sky. it was shades of red streaming through clouds in the evening sky and the beauty made us all stop. our oldest daughter wanted to enjoy atop shoulders and I wanted to stop time right there and then. . . may each one of us continue to gaze up together and keep our hearts leaning heavenward with each new day. this is my hope for our little family of four.

giving thanks
thankful for . . . giggles, kisses, pancakes for lunch, "ma ma" and "I love you" from my girls, mellow music, quiet, peek-a-boo games, cuddle time, lazy mornings, times spent with good friends, joy, fire in the fireplace, cozy blankets, my favorite black shirt, the smell of popcorn, the taste of sweet, rich hot chocolate on a chilly night, piles of leaves, authors who make you think, hope, the peace of God, family, new life, naps, a loving husband, creativity, my home, a listening ear, the Bible, my girls, comfy couches, a job I enjoy, grace, walks in autumn, and forgiveness. . .
